This tree went down in a summer storm a few years ago. Now it looks like a tree man standing out in our field. Especially in a snow storm like the one we had yesterday.

Inverted for northen hemisphere viewers as I am helpful like that.

Tonight I am serving venison provided by a very nice Swedish guy who was our neighbour. It has been marinading 24 hours in port and herbs and now gets slow cooked till dinner time. Hope this works, I haven't tried it before.

This little bit of exposed burl at the base of this tree caught my eye. Looking at it the computer, the pattern reminded me of Van Gough painting but then I started seeing faces...
